About Dr. S. Lata

Dr. S. Lata, MDS, MAMS, is a distinguished Endodontist, Cosmetic Dentist, Clinical Researcher, and Academician with over 17 years of experience in advanced dentistry, education, and research. She is the Founder, Director, and Chief Endodontist of The Pulp Dental, one of Bhubaneswar’s leading multi-speciality dental healthcare groups, recognized for delivering advanced, technology-driven, and patient-centric dental care through its three state-of-the-art branches.

Under her leadership, The Pulp Dental has become a trusted destination for comprehensive dental treatments, offering world-class facilities including CBCT imaging, Dental Operating Microscopes, Lasers, Intraoral Scanners, and Digital Smile Design, while serving patients from across India and abroad. The practice is particularly renowned for advanced microscopic root canal treatments, cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, and complex restorative procedures, performed with precision, innovation, and compassion.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Lata serves as a Professor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIIT Deemed to be University), where she mentors postgraduate students and contributes extensively to academic research. She has authored 25+ research publications in reputed national and international journals, with her pioneering work on enamel remineralization receiving over 400 scientific citations, reflecting the global impact of her research.

Dr. Lata has also been entrusted as a Subject Expert, Super Mentor, and Expert Reviewer for healthcare innovation projects under BIRAC, an initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to dentistry and medical sciences, she was inducted into the prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India, becoming one of the few dental professionals from Odisha to receive this honour.

Driven by a passion for education, she also founded The Pulp Advanced Dental Academy, a platform dedicated to enhancing the clinical skills of young dental professionals through advanced training, workshops, and mentorship. Beyond academics and clinical excellence, Dr. Lata actively participates in research, continuing dental education, community outreach programs, and philanthropic initiatives that make quality dental care accessible to all.
